v0.5.0 worked great for me even with the network cable plugged in.

v0.5.1, v0.5.2tc1, and v0.5.2tc2 all lock up at the screen that says A, B, L+R+B.  Did not try the network cable idea though.  End up having to hard boot.

Sorry guys but I can't help unless
a ) I found some developer with different hardware settings than mine.
b ) I get some other hardware to test it out.

a) is mine prefered item.

I was able to give v0.5.3 a try and same thing....locks up at the screen that says A, B, L+R+B.

Maybe I will try and update my bios and dashboard in the next day or so.

I've got the same problem with the later versions. Don't know how to fix it so I just use an old version.

Do you have your network cable plugged in?  I discovered yesterday that if I boot into EvoX with no network cable, then launch dvd2xbox, it will work fine.  Booting with the network cable led to dvd2xbox locking up everytime I tried to use the browser.

is this true?

I will try it, lets hope it works.

anybody else have a solution?

Ok, somebody said that 0.49 doesn't lockup.. that's false.. I have 0.49 and it locks up..

Hi guys i see that you are having  a lot of problem with Dvd2xbox and have you guys updated to the latest dvd2xbox. I have never had problem with it. I have the lan cable connected to the back and launch dvd2xbox and it doesn't give me any problem and i when i backup a game on my HDD it doesn't freezes. I have a xbox 1.1 chamLe bios 4977. I see that many of guys might have install the it from slayer well for myself i never use slayer for the installation i created my own Cd with all the tools that i need and the only good use for slayer for me was just formatting the HDD and that's it.

Found this on the main page:

dvd2xbox 0.5.2 tc1/tc2
>> dvd2xbox(info) is a game/movie manager for the xbox
From the readme:
This build is supposed to be a test candidate for those who have crashing problems with dvd2xbox
while pressing A in the main menu.
The archive contains two builds:
+ default.xbe tc1
+ default.xbe_tc2 tc2 without title image

Use tc2 if you've also problems with tc1. If this helps the code will be merged in the main branch otherwise other tc builds will follow (but probably not before new year). Sorry for the inconvenience but this is needed because I can't reproduce the crash issues.
Please post your findings at xbox-scene.com.
