If the HD is a Seagate then there is a good chance you can, if its Western Digital then no.

Try using the Raw FTP commands to format, works everytime for me. Link is in the pinned topic, and of course its on the tutorials page. JUST format the F drive, not the whole drive (F is partition6).

Try usin slayers autoinstaller ....... if it doesnt work then u probably dont have the 10 gig hd

if the hdd is in fact a seagate, is it definite that its 10 gigs?....also, did MS just randomly place 8&10 gig hdds in boxes from day 1, or did they start way after?...because i got my xbox on the first day, and i have a seagate...

you do understand the the xbe in slayers is EVOX, right? "Slayers" doesnt format the drive, evox does.
