It's called a partition and that's why slayer brought you the Installer, so you dont have to do it yourself

does the 3921 support 137>gb?
are pauls 48(sumthing) crack in that one or do i have to flash with 4797.06 to have one 137>GB partition. 4797.06 is one partition the 6 and 4797.67 is with two 6 and 7, righ?
and if i remove the jumper i can flash the bios from a cd, can i just put the file on a cd put it in the drive and my bios will up grade it self?

or am i worrying to much and sould i just put my new 160 in the xbox and conviger it all with slayer 2.5 wile you all lafe at my unnessesary worrying
i don't want to copy other files to it from my retail hd, i just want it to work.

this might all be obvius but i just waisted 80 euro's coz i didn't double check things

Everything worked perfectly.
I actually used CD-R media for the BIOS AND for Slayer's boot disc (all I had).  Amazingly enough, it worked great.

Now I just need to figure out what I am going to do with all this firepower!

as for the Bios there is on the installer disk a M7 ef G bios, flash your chip with this bios before installer anything from the installer. the reaso is the drive will be configured to the bios installed. the above mentioned bios will give you 137gig on F and the remainder on G the bios supports up to 2 terabytes so any size large drive you can afford will work.
After you have flashed the chip with the included bios install the new hdd doing nothing to it except setting the jumper to either C/S (cable select) or Master your choice. Then select rebuild large HDD from the menu this will install everything in one shot. take the time to read the doc's they are very helpful. most anything you may think you need to ask is in the doc's already. use adobe acrobat 6 to read them.

i know i might look to you as a noob howe ask's first than searches but that's really not true.
i'v spent litarely day's on this site as a very productive intern
i't just that some of the lesser god's have been giving me contradicting information. like i said before i've already waisted 80 bucks (euro) by not making things sure.
i can assure you guy's i apriciate the help and i understand that you put allot of time in the tutorals and it's fucking anoying if some noob takes no effort at all and just expect you guy's to give him the awnsers without looking for them him self.
all the work you've (the people howe made the tutorals the site and the programmes) is basicly just charety. and that's a rarety these day's. but be assured before i ask you a question i've already read all the tutes i can find about the subject.

finally made adobe 6 work (slayer install guide)
first had to upgrade my work pc win2000 with sp4)
next question
if i install my new 160
will i be able to swich to my old retail hdd when the box is turned off
yes right? the g partition will appeare but it will be emty an unuseble
or will the chip be flashed with and other bios version that does not support the retail version. (retail was already upgreaded with slayer)

btw do you recomment any specific setting's?

I formatted my hard drive with slayers, it is locked, problem is, my mb that i formatted on wont unlock the hd.  Is there anyway to fix this?

For using the retail HDD in the xbox when the chip is off there is no problem with this as long as the drive is locked to that xbox. in regards to the bios it has no affect on the retail hdd when the chip is off also the current bios are 100% compatable with the retail hdd's

What bios do i recommend from the installer i recommend for 120 Gig drives and smaller you use either M7 ej this bios will bypass the clock problem some people have and works the same as X2-4977.

If you install a larger then 120Gig like a 160 or 200 or even a 300 Gig drive then you should use the 4979.67 repack bios not on the installer but in the normal places or use the M7-ej-G bios these bios will allow 137 gig on F: (6)and the remainder on the G partition (7) there is the option to use the 4979.06 bios where everything above 137 is also available in F: just make sure the drive is formated by the biod type you are using as this can affect the way the drive works. read the included NFO files with the new bios before using them.
