tell me what you did differently than for "slayers" besides modify an evox.ini and add your own slayers background to evox dash....show us what you coded and what you compiled, gathering apps from xbins ftp and bundling it isnt compiling shit.

and i beg to differ about this support you put it in. your support of slayers comes when other ppls work is updated, then you d/l it off the ftp and bundle it up and poof "look heres new slayers 2.6", it also comes in the form of banning ppl when they ask what slayers is in the channel, just genius.
If it'll make you feel any better, the contribution to the scene is always appreciated but the app is worthless to me, thats my OPINION so dont start stressing about it yet again.

Follow the infomation on the very first page of this thread. it is not hard to find at all, if you dont know how to use mIRC use the help in mIRC and search for servers it will show you how to change to the server listed on page one.

This is a bit of a problem!! I just modded a box for  a guy with Slayers 2.5 (thats what he wanted).

Do we know what the file is or how to delete it? I think the creators need to address these questions ASAP! Other than to wait for the next version - which the same thing could happen.

What about the offical SLAYERS IRC - is it safe or are we talking about "other Irc" locations?

This crap has already been addressed in this tread try reading back a few before posting.

This is to everyone out there using or thinking of using the installer:
First and foremost NO ONE is asking you to use it

Second the only download you can trust is from our mIRC channel anywhere else we cant control.

Therd there is no virus or trojan in any released download from our servers, there never has been either.

if you or anyone has a question about the installer join the IRC channel and ask away, we have been in the same channel and same server for over a year now, i think all your comments about not addressing anything  are unfounded we are always there 24/7.

also for a note "NO ONE" has shown me or contacted me with proof of this crap so till i see proof it is BULL SHIT to me.

We do not support the use of Soft Mods for the simple reason as soon as M$ updates the dash your mods is wipped out, I may be wrong there may be an exploit that works better then all the users that come into the channel and want to know how to get back into there xbox because they clicked on the live in a game and now they get error code screen or only the M$ dash.

We can help with the any problem that comes up when using the installer with a mod chip because it is hardwareand does not change unless the user changes it. Softmods dont have this protection. If you use 4977 or newer the installer will work fine as long as you deal with the exploit end of it.
we will also help with any issues with the install other then dealing with the exploit in the forum or the mIRC, Sorry but just to many issues with exploits to deal with and compound user related issues using the installer.

I think Slayers 2.5 is awesome.  Could someone point me to a tutorial on how to replace/update a single application within Slayers to a newer version? (HDD Loader).  I know it can be done but I can't find anything about it.  For people with 300GB & 320GB drives, the "all-on-F" scheme is no good, because drive corruption happens at about 250GB or so.  The F&G scheme is supposed to be the answer.  But I think the the HDD Loader in Slayers 2.5 does not support G, can anyone comment on this?

The new HDD loader is supposed to also have a list-game feature so you can tell what the game files are, that's another thing I've been wishing for.

The manual with Slayers is really nice and complete but they dont address how to make any additions or changes to the included apps.  I'm sure it's easy once you know how

For those that do installs all the time, an auto-installer tool is great, especially when you arent doing the mods near a PC.  For those who use it as an easy way out of reading, shame on them, not the people who make slayers.
I think half the problem comes from people 'newbs' not understanding what the tool is, and how they can LEARN from it instead of making it their life line to get anything done on the xbox.  I've seen questions like "How can install XBMP on my xbox" with the answer of "just get slayers, it does everything for you".  
Maybe some of this comes from the slayers 'support team', one member of which I have seen say, "its not evox, no its tool coded by slayer END OF STORY".  Obviously that is not everyone, but when people are told such things they think that it is the holy grail of xbox modding.
In any event, this is a thread to help people w/ the use of slayers, you aren't going to change anyone's mind by posting thats it 'sucks ass' or whatever.

Yes, evox will run fine, it doesnt matter chip is used.  Whether or not evox supports flashing the chip is yet to be seen.
