You need to do a little research by reading some of the tut's or threads in the forums about bios and there features, there is no info about your xbox so there is no way for anyone to say one bios is better then another for you. Although most any of the latest bios like M7 or 4979 will do just fine for you since there multi version bios.

since you dont want to flash the bios with the pro programmer and want to do it buy using the cromwell bios that is on your chip now you will need to burn a disk with some bios files on it.
there has been talk that Bios.bin my not be the name now needed
i recommend you burn a disk with the following names of the bios file
Bios.bin
cromwell.bin
linux.bin
image.bin

this should cover the cromwell versions out there and hopefully your needs make sure the bios files are all 1 meg in size and all are current bios files like M7 or 4977 or 4979, i recommend 4979 then M7 for the bios to use

Hey,  I have a question.  Slayer's 2.5 is installed and seems to work.  I upgraded the bios to the X2 4977 for the 256 with the F/C larger hard drive.  I have a 200GB harddrive in it.

Now in the settings...its shows 120GB in F and 60GB in G.  But when i go to the game loadder, it only lists the "F".  So how am I able to use the other 60GB?  Does it just automatically use it without listing it??

If by "game loader" you mean the projectx hdd loader, it doesnt support a G drive, as I pointed out earlier in this thread.

Or... you could get yourself a more current program to backup your games like dvd2xbox which supports a G drive (just like I said earlier this thread).

Error 16 is generally a clock setting error because the MS dash cant be loaded to resolve the clock setting. This is explained in the doc's if you take the time to read them but I am sure it is faster to sit at the PC and wait for someone to come on and answer your questions on the forum (Whatever!)
you have little choice at this point and since you felt we all have the crystal ball that will tell us what chip and Xbox you have you have limited answers because my crystal ball broke when I was looking for a user that really read the doc's and it went up in smoke trying to find one.

your options flash your chip with either a M7 bios or X2-4979 repack bios both of these will bypass the clock problem, if this does not bypass the error 16 issue flash the chip again with same flash and again try, there is little chance with the correct bios that it wont boot. If you cant get it to work and you have it flashed with a current M7 or 4979 bios come to the IRC channel you can get one on one help there and you can even tell use what you have for an Xbox and chip so we have something to go on and I am sure we can get you up and running. Ask anyone in the channel for help and see what sharing is all about

slayer 2.5 is junk read this forum more you will see it has many bugs using the new evox i had so much i had to reinstall back to pre verson of evox . looks like slayer better go back and redraw it to fix what he messed up , read and study more in these forums and you will see i am not alone .

My Xbox doesnt have a IP, so on slayers EvoX 2,5 auto installer i went to (11) System settings and set IP to STATIC and set a ip address. i then tried to connect with flash fxp but no luck. I did notice there sill was no IP address on teh main menu. so i rebooted, still no IP address even thou i set it to static, i went back to system settings and it was turned off. how can i save the setting when i change it? or some how get my ip so i can back up c: drive so i can then install EvoX Please help!!

Im using a cd. Slayers 2.5 auto installer. i have just got my xbox with modchip. i dont know what the mod chip is but it looks like http://www.xbox-scen...n_diagrams.html but insted of the circle solder points its got 10 rectangle points in a row. so yeah, how do i get this ip? some one suggested i edit the .ini file of the slayer iso and make it static ut when i put the cd in my drive its says its blank. so how do i back up my c drive to install evox if i can t get my ip of my xbox

like i said slayer 2.5 has alot of bugs wait till he comes out with new verson just reinstall the other verson you have dont waste time on this 2.5 verson ,, trust me look at all the other posts on slayers v 2.5 bugs its a headace not worth the trouble.

Yes, you said that once already, you made your 1 non-constructive post about slayers in this thread, now just go about your day.  Either answer the questions asked, or dont post at all.  If you do a search, there are many "bash slayers threads" that you can participate in.
