LOL, if you read my initial post carefully you'd see it says to open the docs with PDF 6.0

Since the installer use the LATEST tools and progs, it kinda makes sense to use the latest of everything, well at least to me it does

Well I think going to FlashFXP instead of my old ftp program with Slayers 2.5 solved my biggest problem.

So far everything's working, seeing about 300GB. Old Slayers 2.1 would not work (some apps unavailable) with the new bios, but so far 2.5 seems fine except for some reason it and my old ftp client didn't like each other (evox-ftp bug as said by Evobex). (thanks, I can stop pulling my hair out now).

Still looking for info on how the slayers hdd-lock/unlock utility works and why it may be that I can't lock my drive. Is there a way to use the MS dvd-remote dvd player running off the chip?

Thanks to Slayer and all that helped make huge hard drives possible, been wishing for this for a while now

I'm still confused how G could be useful if HDDloader won't see it or use it, maybe it's for future uses?

Quick question.

I have backed up my original hard drive on to my computer. Successfully used slayers to install a 80gb hdd and everything is working sweet.

Before I used slayers, my m$ dashboard was gone. Usual error 13. Slayers has fixed this perfectly.

When I ftp back into my box to put the backed up files in, with the bad m$ dashboard files, will it then mess up my m$ again?

OK any help would b great. I checked the "usual places" and came up with nothing. I have this bios, "x2 4977 *FC*". I c that everyone is upgrading to the 4979 bios. Is there a bios x2 4979 FC +137? thats all I want to know if there is one. IF so, i'm pretty sure with a bit more hunting I should b able to find one. I plan to upgrade 300 gig from 120gig.

I know I went on some Japanese web-site and saw 4979 FC clicked it and it asked me if I wanted to save or open. I didn't know what it was so I just canx it.

oh yea I'm a bit late on all these updates due to the fact that half the time I am in the middle of the sea somewhere.

everytime i try to se irc i can always download a slight bit of anything then it stops and says connection failed i know i have all my settings right ive checked that a bunch of times so im just wondering if i can get it on a website or something.. i hate irc pretty much it never lets me complete downloads and its a real pain in the ass having to resume them all the time if its a 100+ mb file!

The Apple-X Pro is not flashable. Only the 3.0 and down are.

OK, thanx, i guess i won't be using the stealth mode then. M$ LIVE can't see if you have installed it on the c drive right?
