What kind of network are you on? Is it a router/switch/hub (yeah I know they are all three different things); 2 NICs in your comp and your xbox hooked right to it? Is your xbox IP static or does it get it thru DHCP? Can you ping your xbox from your computer?

In case you need some help to find out the above questions :

To find out if your XBox IP is static or dynamic, open you evox.ini file and look for this section

CODE
[Network]

SetupNetwork   = Yes
StaticIP   = No
Ip  = 192.168.1.200
Subnetmask   = 255.255.255.0
Defaultgateway   = 192.168.1.1
DNS1  = 10.0.0.1
DNS2  = 192.168.1.1
SkipIfNoLink   = Yes
SetupDelay   = 5

If it says StaticIP=No, then your getting your IP thru DHCP.  If so, what is the XBox IP and your comptuer IP?

If it says StaticIP=Yes, then whatever IP specified in the IP= is the XBox IP.  This also means you need to check your computers TCP/IP settings, and make sure they are on the same subnet and mask.  To check that,(I assume your using Win98 or Higher) go to Start--->Control Panel--->Network Connections--->You should see your local area  connection (LAN), right click---> Properties--->Highlight TCP/IP--->Click properties---> you should now see the static IP settings of your computer.  Make sure the subnet mask specified in the evox.ini matches this subnet mask.  Make sure the IP of your computer is also in the same subnet range, i.e 192.168.x.x.

To ping your XBox from your computer go to Start--->Run--->cmd--->at the command prompt type
CODE
MS Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
(C) Copyright 1985-2001 MS Corp.

C:Documents and SettingsTom>ping x.x.x.x

where x.x.x.x is your XBox IP.

If you can do that, then everthing is pretty much  ok as far as the network side is concerned.  If you still cant connect after that, recheck the user name and password your using to access the XBox.  Use FlashXP as nezff said as well.

Did you go thru the rest of what I said about checking the IP of your computer? If so, what was your computer's IP?  And again, how is your xbox and computer connected?

P.S. and its ALRIGHT (Sorry thats a pet peeve of mine)

no, that's where I draw the line.  You can use google and easily get more detailed instructions than I would type in much much faster.
