I think you are getting confused with bios's and evox.

X2 4978 is a bios.

If you want a bios use x2 4977
Download EvolutionX_Build_3921 for Evox
both can be found on Xbins.

Unfortunately you will have to read a tutorial or 2 to understand how to flash your bios.

well that has sort of helped what is the difference between evo-x and a bios isnt evo-x a bios. Just to clarify wit boots up under the green x is xecuter2 then it goes to ms dash. I want evo-x on my xbox. can someone answear the questions above and this one.

Well Evox DO make a bios and their current one is the M7. They also make a dashboard and 3921 is the latest release.

What mod chip do you have?

If your machine boots up and under the green X it says xecuter2. This means you already have an X2 bios flashed on your chip (don't know which one).

To put Evox on your box, you will need to:-

1) Create an iso file containing:-
      evox.ini
      default.xbe (you will need to rename evoxdash.xbe)

2) The evox.ini will need to contain your network settings.

3) Use Simplex to make the iso

4) Burn the iso to a CDR-W with Nero

5) Boot Xbox with CDR-W

6) FTP into your Xbox

7) FTP over:- evoxdash.xbe; evox.ini & the skin folder to the root of C.

Edit evox.ini to how you want it setup.

well someone said it before but i didnt flash the chipa nd if it is flashed with a n x-ecuter bios how do i get it to boot up into it cause when i turn it on it goes to standard ms dash. Have i somehow flashed it with ms dash. and please explain what u mean about biso and evo-x can you clarify it.
any replies plz

Take some time.  Read over the forums for a few days.  Read all of the tutorials.  Ignore your own xbox.  Gain knowledge in what you are doing first, THEN ask SPECIFIC questions.
