on a fast XBoX-fast HD-samsung-install from cdrw or DVD: 10 minutes full install.
normally 15-20 minutes, maybe 30 with a picky dvddrive...

X-DISK 0.92
« Reply #123 on: October 24, 2003, 10:15:00 AM »

so whats going on when it takes 2-3hrs. Plus when it was done, half the things didnt copy over (xbe's etc). I used xcommander (which I had to make a boot disk for cause it didnt install the files with x disk) to put on all the aps I wanted, but I dont get what happened. I didnt screw with the image or anything, just burned it.Any suggestions?

EDIT-----
I was using memorex 4x cdrw's, which have worked fine so far.
Should I burn on "disk at once" or "track at once"?

I had the same problem with Memorex 4X CDRW.  I burned the image again on FUJI DVD+RW and it worked perfectly without any problems.

yes. DVDR works always, except DVDR+ on Samsung.
U can just try it with another type of cdrw and lower the burningspeed to 4x...

x-disk 0.96SE is the switch edition. its only a fix 4 the buggy switch dashboard option in x-disk 0.92

to clear up:
in beta-stage: 0.93
actual release is x-disk 0.92
last release with e-drive support: 0.91
First beta was 0.90

X-Disk 0.96 SE (SwitchEdition) is only a addon to x-disk 0.92. It can set your default dashboard. iF the option switch dashboard in x-disk 0.92 workes for u, u don't need 0.96SE

smile.gif The mxm-Switcher is included and I cleaned up the Installer a bit.
I'm just waiting for a new Version of some Apps,  another x-disk doesn't make much sense @ the moment.
Meanwhile I finished x-disk green edition.
It's an MS-Dashboard-Installer containing 7 different dashboards! size about 130mb and I'm working on a Linux-Addon-Disk that installes a configured Debian on ur box smile.gif
