X-DISK 0.92
« on: October 02, 2003, 06:45:00 AM »

New version of X-DISK 0.92 is OUT!
---------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------->IRC CHAN IS #X-DISK on EFNET<------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Get the torrent here!!! and check out the thread for more ways how to get your hands on a copy !!!!

Apps:
-mediaplayers: XBMP 2.4 CVS, YAMP, XBMC
-dashboards: evox3921,MxM+nice Skin,Avalaunch 0.48, Nexgen (default dash switchable with InstallerDisk without losing ur settings, biosflashing or anything)
-Emulators: like 0.91, updated and some more (15 different Emus smile.gif)
-Apps for Online gaming
-Filemanagers
-BackupToolZ
-much more...

Features:
-Format, restore, install
-dashboard-switching, incl. saving of setting
-G-Drive support: format-option, patched xbe's, G-Bios
- install of dashes only
-install configured dashboard of your choice with apps
-clean install of evox
-'All-in-One' Option like Slayer's ' Rebuild'
-option to install different evox.inis (different menus)
-option to install different evox.inis (multi-language support)
-Live-System
-about 200 skins for evox
-Live-Menu
-20 biosfiles (X2-4977/78, EvoX,DominioNX, *F*,*G* and different colors,sizes:256kb,512kb,1024kb)
-more emulators
-....
I recoded the Installer, it is more a  toolkit now but also with a All-One-Option for new HDs.
So u can prepare your HD step-by-step or do a 'rebuild' like in slayers installer.
Because of all the dashboards I'm dropping most of the retail-disk (8GB, no F:) support.

#############
included evox.inis so far:
-configured for apps
-clean
-userini from aaron1974
-german
-x-disk 0.91
-slayer 2.1
xboxhacker1999
quall
##############

Skinpack from UnknownX ( If somebody can host it, plz PM me!!)

10/21/2003:

If you want to take a look on the 0.92-Installer, here's how to do it:
Copy the entire X-DISK 0.91 to a folder on your harddrive

###OUTDATED! PREVIEW IS AVAILABLE!!!!!!!'####

The menutructure changes a bit:
-go to /SYSTEM
-move everything in ALL one folder up
-delete empty ALL-Folder
-delete LANGUAGE
-delete RETAIL
-unpack misc.rar here

-create a new folder /SYSTEM/f/Apps/Mediaplayer
move /SYSTEM/f/Apps/xbmp to /SYSTEM/f/Apps/Mediaplayer
move /SYSTEM/f/Apps/yamp061 /SYSTEM/f/Apps/Mediaplayer
(u can add here xbmc...)

-rename the dashes in /SYSTEM/f/Apps/Dashes to:
avalaunch & rename default.xbe to evoxdash.xbe
mxm & rename default.xbe to evoxdash.xbe
nexgen & rename default.xbe to evoxdash.xbe
-unpack Dashes.rar here and out the  new folders in Dashes should be;
evox3921
copy  /System/f/Apps/Dashes/evox3921/evoxdash.xbe  to /default.xbe
create a new folder backup in dashes

-get the latest evox.ini for the installer by PM
and put it in /
-Burn
-Try it smile.gif
It's work in progress, don't expect everything to work ..

-If u just want to take a look at the installer get the evox.ini and ftp it to your box-but don't forget to save your old evox.ini first!

Please shed some insight.

The first beta is ready for testing. I'll hand it out a small stripped down version and post  how to build the betaversion with contents of X-DISK 0.91 yourself here.

I'm interested in helping out with this in any way I can.  I can try to write some dash config files etc., whatever is needed.

And just a thought...

MXM now has batch scripting in it.  You can write many copy utils/etc. through that, as an added feature.  You can also use this to manipulate X2_IGR, etc.  The scripting language is much more advanced than Evox's, so it may be a wise choice to use that to actually install the app.
