the ms-dash is in ->system->altern dashes.

the installer options are now:
rebuid:format +M$ dash
format, just format
install apps - evox and/or apps with xbmp

this gives U more possibilitys and saves time:
so:
####
-u've got a plain new HD and want just M$ dash, maybe u want  dual boot (modchip with switch) and setup the dash and apps yourself:
chose: rebuild
-u've got a HD with M$dash and want evox and apps
chose install evox,apps,xbmp
-u've got a HD with M$dash and want just evox no apps: (setup the apps yourself:
chose install evox)
- u have a new HD, dont want the M$-dash but evox and no apps:
chose format and then install evo
-and many many more........
.......
This gives u more flexibility and saves time.
Another reason I did this is because I'm planing to make alternative dashes installable.
-----
Discover the possibilities smile.gif
----------
But somewhere you're right. In the next release I can code an 'task' which does everything for you: (format&install) or rename the menuentry....
------------------------
The more option you add, the less easy will be the installer., but you may have noticed that slayer is working on 2.2, so u have the choice which installer to use. (in the near future).
----
I'm updating the documentation and the second FTP is online right now!

yeah. the dashes rock. my favorite is nexgen smile.gif
MXM is also cool, but takes ages to load (it's beta, that'll change).
Avalaunch is also eyecandy, but crashed several times (maybe because of errors in the ini while testing)
and the Chihirox ....   ....came out  sunday. just included for fun, way to buggy to use.
But the best working  and most stable is good ol' EvolutionX.

And S*** APPENS, u are right, on large disk install theres an typing error in the ini, but that shouldnt be to hard to fix for U:

look in evox.ini for :
----------------Item "M$ Dashboard - Use to change Time/Date and TV Settings
}

      ",@3
---------------
and change it to:
---------------------Item "M$ Dashboard - Use to change Time/Date and TV Settings",@3
}

------------------------
get the updated evox.ini for large disk install HERE!!!
if you can't switch off ur modchip and need the M§-dash
sorry, sorry...

Amazing work firefucker! I'm sure even SlaYer himself will respect your version of his Disk. Close to perfection with and endless amounts of options which are a must for an auto-intaller bootdisk.  Some quick notes I noticed my DVD2XBOX remains frozen in its splash screen. And some skins are not displaying properly...info_x2_2, splinter cell by kreative, and Terminator 3. Just wondering if others have the similar results or should I reinstall?

thx! aaron had also the probs with the pics, but I installed and tested them about a dozen times on different boxes (PAL, but that shouldnt matter) and no prob. Dunno maybe picky DVDRom or so. It isn't really a big prob, just a few kb of wasted download smile.gif

(I refused just to remove T3 because Kristina Lokken is much to sexy to delete)

I wouldn't reinstall, just delete it or try this:

change in c:SkinTerminator_3skin.ini:

Terminator 3

to

Terminator_3
(just use replace in wordpad or so)
That might fix it. If not, there are 70 more skins to choose from smile.gif

I'll check dvd2xbox......

Also, a Reboot XBOX option could complement the Power OFF XBOX already in evox.ini

Item "Play Game from DVDROM Drive / RESET",@5
thats the reboot @ the moment.
I found a 'reboot.xbe', but it didn't work in EvoX (it did work started from XBMP...)
maybe somebody of u knows howto implement a hard reboot..........

erm just about to install this but a quick question, will it wipe the 60 odd gig of games and films on my f drive or is this program a c drive only installer?

havent really got the room on my pc to back it all up smile.gif

u can chose rebuild retail disk, this will  format all drives, but not F: and install MSdash
then you should  rename some folders on F: and do install evox+apps  on large disk.

or do it without formating, but don't forget to rename the Folders on F: (if they exist)

The Folder that should be renamed on F: because they will be overwritten  are:
F:apps
F:Video
F:Music
F:Pictures
F:HDDLoader
rename to something like F:HDDLoaderOLD or so...it doesnt really matter...

I compared the sizes of all the dvd2xbox files that came with the X-DISK with a 0.4.5 dvd2xbox that I had dl b4. Every file where exactly the same size except for the XML file. By the time I overwrote the new file to test and it worked, that I never got a chance to look at the difference I was just glad it worked:)  Excellent program might I'd add! Many more options than px hdd loader.
