Try using config magic.  That is how I locked my WD 120 gig.

I tried, problem when I try to load Config magic with the new Drive I get Error code 21, "Unspefied error".  It loads fine  with the original shipped drive though, but that's not helping me.  I'm getting nervous now since it's not even my xbox. Do I need to do something to the new drives before I can use Config magic?

Sorry for double post.

I have locked Western Digital and many Seagate Baracuda drives using Config Magic with no problems...

Are you formatting the drive before trying to lock it?

Nope, these are brand new out of the box unformatted drives.

I had the same problem last night.

Do this:
Take the harddrive and put it in your pc.
Boot up windows and run Xbox Harddick Preparer v.13
then select the proper drive and zero sectors 1 to 4096

Pop it in the xbox with a boot disk and it should work.

Oh yeah then you have to format the drives.

you can send over RAW commands using Flash FXP.

Hope this helps

Thanks Moe, I'll try that when I get home later.
