If you load evox from say xbox media player, boxplorer or some other application with a dvd in the drive and then check /d/ from an ftp client it shows the /c/ directory listing instead of listing the true contents of /d/

@Mace

That is not an Evox problem..

When applications launch Evox they will map the root folder of Evox to d:

That is why you see the c: drive contents !!

I dunno if it is a bug, anyway:
Evox dashboardl crashs if loaded with a debug bios, even Complex debug 1.03 or TATX_Debug_dual.
the xbox hangs and led flashs red/orange. (v1.0 x, chameleon 1.3)

I recently installed the M7 bios and the newest version of the dashboard. I thought everything was fine but found that when I went to play my games I made in Craxtion using MenuX for the multigame disc that it no longer played the games at all. When I put in a disc it comes up to the MenuX menu but when I select a game to play, it freezes on the Loading screen. I thought it might be the bios because of the media patcher but decided to try replacing the dash with the previous one first. When I did this, the game worked without any issue. I think this is a bug in the dashboard. Thanks for checking into this.

I had the exact same problem.... turned IGR off in evo-x and this fixed the problem... still switched back to 3752 though, its my favorite  biggrin.gif

I have a V 1.0 box with X2 4976.02 Orange and a matrix as my chip.

A lot of minior issues that I experienced from 3921 were soon to have vanished when flashing to M7. So, seems that some compatibility issues were present, 'hooks with no bait!'

As far as noticed issues, IGR, which as been discussed countless times, fails from within a harddrive game, copied game or media player, but I have not seen the same issue as much, if at all, yet, with retail disc.

1 - launch system select Games from menu
2- fire off default.xbe to play a hdd game, lets say WWF Raw 2 or Extreme Volleyball.
3- with WWF Raw 2, if I L+R+Back+Start > black screen limbo state.
4 - with Extreme Volleyball, same IGR sequence as above, music will go into fast sample loop and lock. Both can recover from Eject which is good.

Second scenario is Media Player
1 - launch media player and play a mp3 first, then navigate to your pictures and run a slide show, if you use IGR, it will lock Media Player, but if you exit out from the menu then no problems.

Final issue is with Games, homebrew for example with the exception of Invaders X2 I think it was, but for the others, will crash if IGR out.

Now, I know you all mentioned that IGR has issues and requested to just turn them off and let the x2 bios take over, but is it possible to have the dash check on load up if X2 igr is on, then to disable or ignore all igr = yes statements in the ini?

For more serious bugs, I am not sure what I should be testing, I mean, from an average users perspective the product is solid and does as anticipated, easy to blame bios or home brew titles or even xiso bug issues than the dashboard. If you guys have a bug list, can you share, I am sure some of us have the resources to test out a few things to rule them out.

dvd2xbox - bugs of their own, cannot blame dashboard for the issues there.
media player - has issues of it's own, wish it was integrated into the dash, would be really sweet to have an integrated dashboard act as an independant OS. (just a thought)

Do you have a current bug list you could share?

The 'bugs' that are known, and are being worked on, are the FTP problems, video mode problems for some users, and the stability of IGR.  It actually is looking more like it a combination of the Debug TSR, video mode, and IGR.

You can run Xbox Media Player as your dash.  If you are refering to more 'media' in the dash, I can tell you that none of the following is planned:
backgroud music
displaying the game icon (or preview video)
If you want those features, check out Avalaunch or MxM

Evox is by nature, a simple, easy to configure, easy to use dash.

As for IGR in hombrew apps/games - many of them have a "Return to Dashboard" feature.  Filemanagers, Emus, XBMP, all have this...  USE IT instead of IGR  wink.gif

If you have issues with IGR in any games (both homebrew and retail), make sure you are returning to the main menu of the game before you try to IGR out.

Does 3921 support TSOP flashing on Xbox's with Winbond 49F020 or 49F020T chips?

Freezes on erase and I have to use new version of linux raincoat to successfully flash.

Xtoolbox doesn't seem to work with this dash.

When trying to ftp a queue of files from 1 xbox to the other it will transfer the very first file or folder and then say transfer complete leaving the rest of the queue untouched.  Tried reverting back to 3752 on just 1 box at a time but no joy.  Reverted both box's back to 3752 and xtoolbox works fine again.

Also when going into folders it would seem to bring up nothing and you would need to press A on the folder several times to bring up the contents.

That isnt a problem with evox, read the manual for xbmp on howto upgrade and delete the system.bin file that xbmp uses.

Is anyone having problems running M7 with older versions of Evox dash?
Just trying to isolate any M7 related issues if they exist. wink.gif

This is a bios question.
This a forum for the Evox Dashboard.
