all of the texts in aaron's post are for space available.  There aren't any temp displays.  You need something like:

Text = 46,127,0.5,0x0000A0,0,"HDD:<temp3>

It will either give you a number reading or N/A.

This is out of the evox.ini?  In that case you will only see your HDD temp in the origional skin.  BTW I just cut and pasted from the earlier post of what it should look like as an example.  Paste this over those first two lines, and delete the example line I gave you:

Text = 30,37,0.5,0x000000,0,"<Time><CrLf>MB Temp <Temp1><CrLf>CPU <Temp2><CrLf>HDD <Temp3>"
Text = 28,39,0.5,0x808080,0,"<Time><CrLf>MB Temp <Temp1><CrLf>CPU <Temp2><CrLf>HDD <Temp3>"

This will list HDD in the corner with the other temps.  This should work as you said the HDD temp showed a reading in the settings.

REMEMBER:This will only show the temp in your origional skin, you must add it to your other skins if you want the reading to show up there.

I did som research on the net and found out a couple of things.
The different manufacturers have different meanings for the values.
I found this linux tool:
smartmontools

smartmontools-support

In my case does the samsung report the Raw Value 310. According to smartmontools that would mean 31.0 degrees celcius.

They have a quite good database of how some values have to be corrected.

it has to be set to yes and the value of 194 for it to show(many with 40GB western Digital HDD's said it dun support HDD Temp and will display N/A or an extremly high number like 198C)if so try setting the

EnableSMART   = Yes
HDD_Temp_ID   = 9

it worked for some,give it a shot cool.gif

lol, attribute 9 for S.M.A.R.T is "Power On Hours", this was discussed already, you should try SEARCHING  wink.gif

This means your hd doesnt have S.M.A.R.T. capabilities, basically, it lacks a temperature sensor

I have searched alot of  threads and read alot, but still can't find the answer to my problem.  Hopefully someone will help out a newbie.  For some reason, I have been having a problem displaying all the temps in the settings and on the skins.  I have ran the autoinstaller 2.5 and running the current evox.  Too my knowledge, just by doing this I should have temperature readings in my settings/info but nothing is there.  Any time i try to get the readings on the skin it shows up as: ENV ERROR! Im I doing something wrong? Did the settings not update or something?  any help is greatly appreciated.

I accidently left one thing out that is a little weird.  When i first turn on my xbox the light in the fron around the eject button is green as normal.  But after usually about 10-20 minutes or so it goes Orange.  It does not affect anything im doing but is this a error message of some sort?

THanks

I got a new Seagate Barracuda 120 gig my hd temp is comparable to my old 60 gig seagate at 34 C

But sometimes my temp will vary for 2 or 3 seconds and come back to 34 C, will go at 0.0 C , 17 C , 25 C , and 222 C , just wondering if anyone else got this, cause on my 60 gig it never did this.
