Evox Not Allowing Ftp Into D: Drive?
« on: March 10, 2004, 02:23:00 PM »

This thread has been going for months and a fix has still not been found.  I'm having a problem with a v1.4 K: 5530 EvoX: 3752 and 3953, which is not running a haked BIOS so that takes care of the different BIOS problems.  Besides the D: mirroring the C: drive, when attempting to open the D: in xToolBox or DVD2XBox I get a "video_ts"" folder instead.  Can anyone find a fix for the FTP problem and then help me with this crazy "video_ts" thing,  I think they are related.

the problem is with x select and it can't be fixed
the problem is when x select boots something it mounts it to the d drive automatically so if you want to view your d drive boot your dash straight from the harddrive not with x select

The Video_TS folder contains a small video so when you put it in a normal dvd drive a video will play saying this is an xbox game. Its only about 11 megs. I am also having a problem with my d drive mirroring my c drive. I am using the standard bios and don't plan on flashing it. I can do everything I want to right now except see my d drive. If anyone has any suggestions, that would be great. Thanks,

I had the same problem with the D:\ drive mirroring the C:\ drive. After I updated my Bert and Ernie fonts to "ernie_and_bert_reloaded" the problem stopped. However, I still have the problem of EvoX thinking that original game discs are video dvds, and the only thing that shows up on the disc when I browse it with boXplorer is the Video_TS folder.

But I did notice (before I updated the fonts) that if I had a game disc in the drive and the xbox went into a clock loop, when it got out of the clock loop, it was able to read the disc properly.

EvoX   v. 3935
Kernel v. 1.00.3944.01
MS Dashboard v. 1.00.4034.01

I have an odd problem, I think...
I successfully modded, installed evox, installed new Maxtor 120gb hdd, and got my backed-up C: and E: onto the new hdd.  However, whenever I ftp in with FlashFXP, and access my xbox's D: drive, it shows me the contents of the C: drive under the D: heading.  I have uploaded nonsense files into C: to make sure, and sure enough, I then see them in D: too.  Any idea why I can't access the contents of the DVD drive?  Help would be much appreciated.

Your not the only one.  I had the same problem after changing hard drives.  Then after reading your post I decided to check on it again and to my amazement it now works!  But I had the exact same problem drive d: contents were identical to the c: when I ftp to it.  The only thing I did reciently was I added the G: drive support patch.
but i don't know what fixed it.  I can tell you that I did not reflash my bios in a long time so that was'nt the problem - I think its dash related

The G: drive support patch, eh?  Do you think that had anything to do with it, or do you think it was just a fluke?  I'm running evox 1.3752, anyone know any known issues with it?

No I don't think the G: support patch fixed it.  The only reason why I mentioned it was that was the only thing that I recall doing before I noticed it working again.   I am running evox 3752 also so you should be able to get it to work.  Try reinstalling the dash, try using DHCP if your not already.  All I can say is I didnt intentionally try to fix it, but I was delighted to see it working again after reading your post.

Hmm...im having this exact same problem, but when i go into boxplorer and check the contents of D: it will actually show the dvd contents instead of the C: contents. Its only flashfxp thats seems to be the problem or ftp problem with me,im using the standard hdd too so i never changed very much stuff on me hdd either.
Anyone have an idea?i think it would be a simple solution..

I always thought that D: was the DVD-ROM drive.

If it's not, which drive is?

D: IS the dvd-drive, you're probably looking at your evox boot disc, or whatever disc is in there...

And also is there anybody using x2_4978.03 and does not have this problem?
