Part of your problem is the renaming of the dash files.
I am assuming you flashed your chip with an X2 bios (4977, 4976, etc,)
or an evox bios(D6, 2.5, etc.) With those bios, the xbox dash would
be named xboxdash.xbe and the evox dash would be named evoxdash.xbe

With the chip off, the xbox is looking for xboxdash.xbe to boot from.
You renamed yours to msxboxdash.xbe, that is why it wont boot with
the chip off.  If it wont boot your evox cd with the chip on, I would check your
connection on the chip.

I hope that helps in some way.

Well if the Chip is working, you should be able to boot the Evox cd, and then
FTP to the xbox and fix your file names.

I think there is a HD driver that lets you read the Xbox HD in a PC, but I
dont know that much about it.

Close, what he actually did was name his Evox dash xbe file to xboxdash.xbe BEFORE copying it to the Xbox, then copied it over (overwriting his original dashboard in the process)....

...then he renamed THAT file to msxboxdash.xbe

He needs to reflash his chip to an Evo-X BIOS (D.6) ***OR*** he might be able to disable his modchip and boot MechAssault or 007 Agent Under Fire originals to get into the system.

OK XP_GAMER

Give us the following info and we will figure your problem out.

1. What Bios is on the X2
2. Is this the Stock HD or New HD
3. Is the HD locked
4. Do you have a known working Evox boot CD
5. Describe exactly what you see on the so called green screen of death.
