I ment no harm by posting this in the EvoX forum.  I am trying to spread the word about MXM.  Some people only stick to Evox b/c they say that it is too hard to configure.  NOT TRUE.  It auto adds everything.  All u have to do is set an ip.  You closed minded people should give it a try.  I posted on the Evox forum b/c more people use Evox only b/c it was the first and a lot more people use it.  Just trying to get people o enjoy MXM!!!!!

Before i consider switching, i'd like to know this:

Is there another app to edit mxm, that unlike Myx "Lite", will not require me to install that +20 Mo .Net ms framework ?

Yeah go for MXM I switched the other day, and have one bios going to evoX and one to MXM

Maybe MXM is better, maybe it is not.  Either way you guys should actually bring something to the table if you are going to open up a debate.  So far the best that you can do is say "mxm is better".

If you can't do better than that, your post should be in the garbage.

Try compiling an intelligent organized list of the pro's and con's and we will have an intelligent debate.

The only con of MXM is that it has no bios flash option, but that will changr soon in a future update.  MXM canplay backgrountd music and preview videos on the dash, if you want to.  They can be easily disabled.  MXM is way more visually appealing with the vids and music and whatnot.  Maybee it's just me, but I just got tired at looking at the same fucking still picture everytime i turned my xbox on.  With MXM it has videos.  Need I say anymore?

Well, I have looked over the documentation that comes with it.  It does not look difficuly, however it does look like a pain in the ass.  For example:

QUOTE
The Right Way

1.   Follow the above directions, first off….
2.   Edit the MXM.xml file to suit your personal tastes. A reference follows at the end of the user’s guide.
3.   Create an MXM_Entry.xml file for each game and place that in the same directory as the game. The description for creating an MXM_Entry.xml file is later in the guide.

I have 65 games on my XBOX HDD, so I would have to do this 65 times ... I don't think so.

The manual also says things like:

QUOTE
•   FTP Server
Well, starting with 0.9i, I am including an FTP server. Does it work? I don’t know

I don't know.  After about 30 minutes or so of research, I say the cons outweigh the pro's.

If I want to copy files to my hard drive I have to load Evox since the FTP server doesn't work.  If I want to flash my bios I have to load Evox since there is no flash feature.

Looks like I will just stick with Evox and not waste any more of my time.

I would say yes, you need to say more.  Do you really sit there and stare at the Evox menu?  WTF?  I look at it for approximately 5 seconds until my game or movie loads, the I'm done.  It does everything I need.

Im just sayin im tired of seeing the still pictures everytime I turn on my xbox.  Dont you like a little variety in your dashboard as well as some functionality?  I mean, the least you can do is give it a try.  Im pretty sure that soon after you get it configured to your likings youll eventually set it as your main dash.
