Anyone Here Willing To Switch?

Champ sounds like hes from some unknown religion trying to convert people. (no offence), but you really sound misleading in everything you say.  Not only do you leave out important cons of the dashboard, but you also leave out important pros of the dashboard.  I'm not saying that you are an idiot or anything, I'm just saying you should present your information much better if you want people to "convert".  Just because of that..i'm going to wait at least till 2004 to even look at MXM.  Maybe by then some of the biased opinions I already have from this thread will have worn off too.

EvolutionX Forum
For information and questions about EvolutionX.

Does your topic have anything do with EvolutionX, besides to inform everyone that you are find it be 'shitty'?
NO
If you want to praise MXM, feel free to do it in MXM's forum.  If you ever want to create another thread anywhere on these forums with the sole intention of bashing someone's work, let me know ahead of time so I can move it to the garbage bin before anyone is bothered to read it.

Since you insist on creating this debate, I think I will join in since I have already had a shitty day.

The only con of MXM is that it has no bios flash option, but that will changr soon in a future update.

What about the fact that it is incredibly slow when using autoadd with a large hard drive?  Since I am at my dash for less than 30 seconds, having to wait 15-20 for the dash to boot isn't cool.  Also, put a preview video that in each games folder, which you say is such a great feature, and you can scroll through the games even slower!

Can you use PASV with Evo-X? Nope. You can with MXM. Transfers are faster, works with apps like XBRenamer and xISO xFER. You can (and people do) use FlashFXP to transfer directly between Xboxes with a PC controlling the transaction.

XBERenamer and xISO xFER works fine for me with evox.  And "transfers are faster" depends on who you are talking to, I dont see any faster speeds with MXM's ftpd when compared to evox.  No, you can't use PASV, again, the benefit of such a feature is user-dependent, some people use a hacked MS dash with no ftp at all!  Shame on them.

Seriously, I am getting pretty sick and tired of users who makes comments like

shitty ole EvoX

Let me ask you Champ189WS, what great program have you ever written for any platform?  Please tell me how I can get a hold of it, and how I can then contact you to tell you that it is SHIT, without any explanation of how I came to that conclusion.

BenJeremy, ignore most of the above, obviously you were just making factual statements about your work to correct users; no harm in that.  smile.gif

i've said this before and i'll say it again "i use evox because its fast / stable and easy" .. i use my dash for 5 seconds to pick something i want to do .. why do i need a preview video of the game i'm about to play?   i'm about to play it!!  its your game, you bought it, and u need a preview before u play?  BGM is another one, who cares, i listen to my stereo when i'm playing games so when i load up my dash why do i need a song to play??  see i know that MXM is a good dash and BJ is doing a great job on it but Champ we all use our xboxs different so please stop posting these dumb threads , no one cares what u do!!

king kong:  You will find plenty of support, both in the mxm forum and on #mxm.

Generally speaking, the users and developer of mxm are very helpful, supportive, and non-combative.
