Please, don't make me break this thing.  I've been trying to get this harddrive installed for the past 24 hours, stopping only to eat and sleep.  I'm running out of hair to pull out.

Well i'm not sure why it won't boot the cd esp since you tried different media and what not. ...

as far as being slow yes duplex mismatches can cause this .  you can force set your pc nic to be half duplex to match that of the xbox.  just go into your nic properties you should be able to find it.  set it to 10Mbps and half duplex.

By the way, now Evox's Line Status says "100/Full Duplex" why is this?

25kbps???  lmao, are you serious?  i register a bit above 3,000kbps when i upload from my pc to the xbox.  it takes me very little time at all to upload a complete rip or a movie!  :-)

Your transfer speeds are good.  It's bookin as fast as the drive will write it pretty much.

4700 is good enough... what you want is to match the xbox.  So if the xbox boots and negotiates 100/full then that is what you want your nics in pc's to be at.  If the xbox changes then make sure the nics in pcs are like that too.  If you can take the nic in the xbox off of auto and just set it to like 100 full or 10 full or whatever then that would be best.  I don't recall if there is that option in the evox.ini

ive got an 1.1 xbox with xecuter 2.1 lite modchip running evo x 1.8.3752 connected to pc with win xp and flashfxp by crossover cable.

transferring to the xbox from the pc i get about 700k/sec on average, but transfering from xbox to pc i get about 1k/sec for bout a minute then it cuts to 0k/sec

what is the problem?

QUOTE (Bizarro @ Jul 31 2003, 09:08 AM)
Are you saying 3,000kbps is reasonable.  why wouldn't we get something closer to 100mbps?

- 3,000kbsp is very reasonable.  i think you may be getting mbps confused with megabytes per second... it actually mean megabits per second... it's a meausre of bandwidth.
- the reason it is reasonable b/c that's what your xbox is writting at.  you may not be right up to par but your definately close.  the network structure plays a huge part though.
- think about it this way... typicall on a cable modem i can download at 200kbps and upload at 40kbsp.  you are, with the xbox, uploading and downloading at 3,000kbsp.  that pretty freakin fast!

i hooked up the two xboxes via a 6 ft crossover cable.
using avalaunch's file manager, i'm averaging only 3,130 kb/s.

you say only... ::sigh::
most of the people complaining here about speeds complain because they get 5kbps or 24kbps... not 3,000.  be happy, thats fuckin fast as hell.

I'm starting to hear the "Wile E. Coyote falling off a cliff" sound whenever I press the "Add Reply" button.  Woe is me.
