Depending on what version of EvoX you're upgrading from, you can just overwrite all of the files (i'd recommend leaving the evox.ini file if you customized it...that is, if it uses evox.ini and not a different named ini file).

flashing your bios to upgrade to 4977 won't effect your evox, or any of your saved games.

if you upgrade evox as well, I agree with everyone else, just keep your evox.ini file, replace everything else

As he said he hasnt updated since november 2002...
New games have protection on them that his bios wont be able to beat, this is why it is a good reason to update to 4977.

can someone tell me how to update my chip bios and evox?

evox I think his just copy files over old ones but to update the bios how do I do that?

Depends on your chip... most likely you can just flash it through the evolutionx dashboard by adding the bios you want to flash to the c:bios directory on your xbox.
