I did ipconfig /all (Win XP Pro) and got the DNS IPs and filled them in. It still comes up with an IP of 0.0.0.0

Yes, the DNS IPs are the same as my PCs. When you say set DHCP on, I am going on that the Static IP setting is set to No.
Also, if the static IP is set to no, does it matter what IP address you put in the IP field? Only the Default Gateway and Subnetmask would matter then.

I totally messed up my ftp-connection,new EvoX runs fine but I can't get my hands to the Network-settings my old System Utils don't work.Ftp worked just fine but after I updated EvoX to the newest one I lost it.So I burnt EvoX to cd-rw and booted from it but I can't still connect Xbox to my PC.I use one nic-card and it's directly linked to Xbox with rj45 cable (and worked fine until this disaster).I've understood that I have to burn EvoX always after I've changed evox.ini settings.EvoX boots fine from cd-rw but ftp-connection is still lost.I'm using windows 98 and I haven't touched my settings in my pc so the problem is in the EvoX-settings

Here are some info:

In Settings/ Info Network:

IP: 0.0.0.0
Line Status: 100/ Full Duplex

Here are my EvoX settings (evox.ini):

and it couldn't hurt filling in the DNS entried *type winipcfg* in run on windows 98 and select your network card and show details(i believe) to find your DNS entries to fill in
when you get them, put them in the evox.ini
