If this is correct on the boot disk, try the ping command to check for a reply.

c:\ ping 192.168.0.5

If you get request timed out, the xbox is not at that address or is not responding. Check your network connections.
Well thats my guess. Good luck

Well one other thing comes to mind, you ran the evox new drive prep command?

If this fails you could burn a file explorer on the disk and (your c partiton if it's a dvd) or your evox files from the old hd with the evox on the boot disk.
That way you could use the file manager to transfer your known good config to the hd and ftp the rest of the apps after a boot to the known configuration. If it will not boot the drive might be bad.

well it means that evox's network is setup correctly on your original HDD and not your bootable CD.

please post your PC's IP, subnet mask, gateway, and post the network section of your evox.ini (the one that's on your boot disc)

Tried changing to 192.168.0.1 but no difference.

I don't think the problem is with the settings as they work with the retail HD in the Xbox, just not with the upgraded HD.

Anyone else had this problem (a lot of similar problems have been posted but mainly after EvoX upgrades)?

Please please help, im desperate !!

Your PC or your router wont assign an ip to xbox unless it is physically connected before boot up..... so i suggest you try rebooting from evox dashboard with cross over or patch cable connected ..... i had a similar problem the first time ... and stumbled on this .... it might do the trick.
