Hi I had problems with the original Dashboard recently, after several stressful days (it wasnt my box)  thought I'd share my findings because nobody else seemed to be able to help me.

symptoms:  It kept coming up with Error 21 when I tried to load MS Dash on v1.1 Xbox

reason:  The msxboxdash.xbe with the errors came from a v1.0 box there are slightly different versions of the dashboard files and some wont work on the v1.1 box.

solution:  Slayers Auto Installer, extracted the xboxdash.xbe from the iso and copied to box. all fixed.  


I now have a directory on my computer with 3 versions of the original dashboard, The only way i can tell them apart is from the file sizes.

Just thought I'd let everyone know, for future reference...
