Is There A Way To Rename Games?

All game titles are stored in the default.xbe file so you can make a backup of the default.xbe and then edit the name and if anything goes wrong you can copy the backup back and try again. You can use a hex editor or there is an app called renamer out there some where.

QUOTE (Woah @ May 27 2003, 09:25 AM)
Is it possible to rename games? So far I have a fair number of games ripped to my hard drive with titles like

Amped
Blinx: the time sweeper
Dead Or Alive 3
Enter the Matrix

etc...

however a few particular games stand out, for example Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, which is in ALL CAPS like this:

MGS: SUBSTANCE

I know it's lame to be upset with this, but I'd like to be able to rename this. Is it possible?

Download xbe Renamer and that will do it for you! It's in the X-S download page!

Another alternative is to edit the evox.ini and take out autoadd and then add games into the menu yourself that way you cancall them anything, without editing the .xbe

something like this

Section "Games"
{
Item "MGS2","e:MGS2(THIS IS THE FOLDER WHERE THE GAME IS STORED)default.xbe"

hope you get the idea.

Thats just the way I do it though.
