Form over function?

While that was great in the PC era, to let non-geeks get the power out of a computer instead of being stuck with DOS (think Mac & Windows), I am not sure this is where I would put my coding effort, for two reasons;

1) Most people who can mod an xbox don't need an overly user friendly GUI. (I am not arguing that it needs to be ugly or hard to use, but it is not like point & click is required to get more people to use evox.)

2) The current menu system is already pretty easy to use.

However, if someone does spend the time on this, i'm sure I'll like it.

Appreciate your ideas, but personally I'm not much of a fan of joystick controlled mouse pointers- I find them slow, inaccurate, and just downright annoying!

Screensavers would be sweet though...

internet access would be sweet...a irc applet...updater for both dashboard and bios...things avalaunch has but evox style of way

I bet someone could build a stand alone app that could do the screen saver thing... I'm actually kind of surprised this has not happen yet.

mabey i just am over doing it with these ideas just to look fancy....  but i meen it would be nice for looks and for n00bs to the modding area of the Xbox, could be a warm welcome too showing that n00bs can do this modding and add so much more..... like me, when i looked at all the tools and stuff available, i meen even a EvoX SNES emulator, i realized the endless possibilitys! we could even have a Xbox format internet explorer!!

the mouse is just an unnecessary idea, regardless of speed. There is not enough going on in Evox to require it.

And leave the trademark logo. They paid for it.

smile.gif  well if anyone decides to implement or make a program for any of these, give me a e-mail at: [email protected] and if you have any special thanks or credit in the readme or whatever put me in..... i would make these things, all of em, cuz i love modding Xboxes to the Xtreme (hell if you live in my area and want to install a modchip and mod your Xbox down to LEDs send that shit to me....) but im no programmer, last time i did and format of programming was in 6th grade... Qbasic lol, i should call it programming, but its a form of it.
