Ya, mine flashed orange when it overheated because I forgot to plug the fan back in when I took out the mother board.

Oh... P.S.-- don't do that it's scary.

Now when I turn it on and load evox, I can see the temp increasing as it heats up, upto around 50C. Sometimes it might get upto 52C...don't think i've seen it higher. I can go and play games etc, and come back, and it still seems to be around this temp. It's like it heats up to this temp reasonablly quickly, even if doing nothing, but then even when under stress like playing a game or dvix movie, it doesn't actually get any hotter....

with my 7200 WD and 80mm fan in stock location at 12v - my mobo is at 113 f at one hour in idle and the gpu is at 120 f

and it never gets warmer than that

Try changing the thermal "grease". M$ uses substandard frag tape that does okay under normal (read: not creating extra heat by running everything) circumstances.

I got a xbox v1.0 with x4977, Maxtor 120GB and a cooling fan on the side

CPU = 55oC
MoBo = 43oC

without the fan CPU can go over 60oC

the fan helps, but still very hot

Anyway, i never had any crash/problems... only catch is temperatures as high as these are not good for long-term.
