I LOVE THIS PROGRAM....

I was struggling the night and entire day to get in my xbox with FTP!! And I put this cd in. POW there it was all my drives in my beautifull FTP program.

To the guy(s) who created this, I LOVE YOU! (but in a family kind of way! So dont get your hopes up)

Slayers includes Configmagic on the disc. You will you that to lock your HDD. Do not try to use anything other than that.

first of all..this it support xbox 1.3?

does the slayer installer installs the default .ini files for the evox?

if i installed evox with this installer into a brand new hard drive...will i still be able to use the ms dashboard option from the evox menu?

Like i told you in the OTHER thread that you started asking this same thing, no. There is no flash bios line, and installs and assumes that you will use Project X's hdd loader, which IMO, is not the best app for backups.

And I mean, no, the evox.ini that slayers puts on your xbox, is far from 'default'. It includes hard links old and outdated apps.
FOR EXAMPLE: It assumes that you will use hddloader for your backups ,and looks for all games in f:HDDLoader
The 'default' evox.ini looks in e:games and f:games

The flash bios menu item was also left out, so in a month, when x2 4979 comes out, you will be back asking how you are supposed to flash your bios, and that you can't find the "Flash Bios" item in evox

Yes, XBMP that is installed is old.
It also installs PxHDD LOADER(an old version), the prefered app for backups is dvd2xbox.

Newer releases of the apps are available, but Slayers has not been updated, yet.
You could update the apps yourself, after install. You could update the apps on the installer before install even.

There are currently 2 unhacked MS dashes. The original and the LIVE dash. If you use Slayers, it will install the LIVE dash.

Why is outdated?
Cause it was released months ago....

My recommendation is to......
read a tutorial on how to install evox
and then read a tutorial on how to install the apps

IMO, You will learn a ton more, and not have as many problems later on.

IMO, use Slayers, then go back and figure out how and why it works.

The part you are missing here is that if for whatever reason, slayer's fucks the xbox up, the newbie using slayer's is completely lost on how to fix it, what went wrong, or even what the disc was doing in the first place.

And anybody that says slayers doesn't fuck up on occasion (due to user error, or whatever) has not spent any time in an xbox help channel.

The disk is good in theory, but brutally horrible in practice.

1wolf thank you for the great auto installer you made its been a great help...

myself and niteman1969 have just finished making an update with loads of new apps and so on and included a few bonuses like mameox and so on and i just wanted to thank you for your permisstion in this newsflash and once again for the great peice of software.
