If you don't use all of the features of XBMP.. then you have NO IDEA how buggy it truly is.

If all you do is play a MPG or an MP3.. then you really have no idea.

Is XBMP great? Sure...

Is it ready for PRIME TIME as the default DASHBOARD.. not yet.  

For most.. XBMP is fine where most people have it.. in their EVOX MENU!

Being an EvoX user, AND an XBMP user I will ask you apoc519 to defend YOUR dash (XBMP I assume!)
I personally have no preference for either, and use both. They both do the jobs they claim to do, so come on convert me from one to the other!!!!

Well, i use both EvoX, and XBMP..  And personally, i wouldn't even consider using XBMP as my dash, evox works great, it does what it does, and it does so very well..  though, i'm just waiting for nexgen (maybe, i'll have to wait and see)..

I love XBMP, but not as a dashboard.
EvolutionX has never ever frozen on me, or caused problems while I was doing large FTP transfers.
