I'd like to show you the evox.ini but I can't exactly access it.  I got the iso so I couldn't modify it.

Extract the ISO with Craxtion and modify the INI file.. That's your problem.

Set the default gateway as the IP address of your router, and make sure that you use set static IP to "yes".

Keep the IP address close to your computers, (if your router is 192.168.1.x then set your xbox as 192.168.1.x NOT 192.168.0.x)

Well, that's my next step, I've just got hold of the evoxdash.xbe.  I'm about to look for how to burn CDs that XBox can read.  What I can't understand is I've tried it witha cross-over cable and modify my PC's ip to 192.168.0.1 and also 2 and still does not work.

Here's the latest update to my problem:

I have burned Evox and able to connect to the XBOX with a non-original Hard Drive but when I try to boot from CD with the original Hard Drive connected it fails miserably.  I guess this means I'll never get on LIVE with this disk? All I wanna do is restore it as it was from factory and/or maybe flash the HD/Serial to get me back on Live.  Am I talking out of my bung hole? smile.gif

All you have to do to play on live is lock your HD (with configMagic) and switch the mod off..

But of course, you need the files from the original HD.

So what you're saying is if an xbox is banned from Live you can just change the Hard drive to play on live?

I still can't access my original drive, can't ftp to it and get the unlock/lock code.

Is there any way of unlocking the original drive if I can't access it to get the code?
