Got Rayman 3(pal) and i want it to copy to my x box harddisc,however it was succesfull installated.Now i want to load the game file(default xbe),but nothing happens! it returns to my evolution X menu,again and again.i can't load the game

I got a Enigmah chip./evolution X

Can anybody help me with this problem?

If you have an NTSC box you need to get the output converter. It is a program that you can use to switch between them. I have seen it around but havent used it myself.

This is because the media check has changed in new games. Rayman 3 is one of these (and possibly Batman too from the description above). A single bit need to be changed to allow the games to run from hard drive (or backup DVD)

Will do this for you. (You need to copy the DEFAULT.XBE to your PC, run the patch, and copy the file back to your xbox.

Just turn IGR off (In Game Reset) in your system utilities will solve your problem!!!

Remember you have to reboot the xbox when you changed something in the system util to take affect!

open your evox.ini

there should be 3 IGR

one under [Misc]
one under [FTP]
and one under [RDTOOLS]

save and upload.

I turned off both IGR, saved, and rebooted, and same exact thing happens with all pal games

and even if it did work, there should be a way to play pal games with IGR on

So the box just boots back out when you try to play PAL games, or does it go black and not do anything on the screen? (is sound working though, your TV might be too old and won't switch freqs.)

Personally I don't see the need to play PAL games over NTSC; PAL's colors are all washed out.

Most men would rather have a NuTSaC than a PAL.

This topic is going from the subject!

It has nothing to do with the TV or PAL NTSC shit!
Update your Bios! for one and update your evox as well, then make sure your IGR are off, and patch the games just to make sure also unlock your HDD. after that get back to me!

OK Penfoldian, let me start by giving you some info on my box:
Xbox: NTSC V1.0
Dash: 1.8.3285
Evox Bios: D6
Mod: Matrix
HDD: 80gig Western Digital

IGR is set to no (been that way ever since Indiana Jones would freeze. Now I just get up off my ass). All games I have copied (both to HDD and disc) work fine, except for PAL format games of course. Emulators for NES, SNES, Genesis all work great as well.

PAL games will go to the loading screen then fade back to the dashboard, over and over again, when loading from a disc.
When booted from the HDD it will go to the loading screen then return you to the dashboard.

Is there some kind of region setting that needs to be changed in somewhere, perhaps an .ini or something?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem guys. Pal wont work for me.
Tried 3 games now
Soul calibur 2
shrek super party
Wolverines Revenge

all IGR off

I was talking about this problem with a helpfull person and was told maybe its a region thing.
Since I couldnt play soul calibur 2 and that was a JAP game and JAP is NTSC.
I have a matrix and arent they region free?
anyway people who have this problem of playing back non North AMerican games should list what chip, bios and dashboard version they are using and lets ee if we can go from there.
