I´ve tried burning the dashboard ISO to CD-RW´s of different brands with all kinds of suggested software and lowest speed noting works, i got a toshiba drive XBOX v1.
How can i install the dashboard via LPT port on my nitroxx chip?

You can't.

Problem is that i don't have any DVD burner, so what's left to try?

i dont have one either.  just get a pal to burn for you.

or buy one, burn disc, then take back to shop and get money back  jester.gif

What about installing a new dvd drive?  Will that work?  I have an error 16 (dashboard) and nothing will boot.  I have Evox blue bios.  Any suggestions would be really helpful.

Thanx

I got it to work with CD-RW. I burned the ISO (had to make it myself) with Nero onto Fujifilm CD-RW at lowest speed on my Acer burner. Have a Thompson DVD drive in my XBox too, and didn't need to switch it out. Might have been just my luck. I can burn you a copy to CD-RW if need be...just let me know.

My system errored (Christmas lights if I remember), but EvoX install went just fine with the Thompson drive already in the XBox.

deathflamer: It did for me. I tried using my Creative Labs DVD-ROM first (which caused christmas lighting) and tried the Thompson DVD drive anyways and it worked. Could be that I was fortunate to make the ISO correctly and burned it on a FujiFilm CDRW correctly by luck.

FABZ: Game backup to the HDD plus homebrew programs, emulators (with roms...especially MameX), etc...
