Ok, my PC can read them.
So the ISO must have not been made right.
Any ideas? I used Xiso to create the image.

Yes. It's hooked up as a Slave on the cable the HD is on, while the xboxdvd drive is there with its power cable in, just as the tutorials say.

This is what I would do
Make the ISO and burn it this way

Make a new folder on your desktop and name it DASHBOARD
Make another new folder on your desktop and name it DASH-ISO

Extract your dashboard to DASHBOARD
You will now have, in the folder DASHBOARD, the files needed to make an ISO

How to make an xISO

Open xISO
Click Tools
Click Make a xISO
Now browse to the folder DASHBOARD click OK
Now browse to the folder DASH-ISO and type Boot Disk in the File Name window click SAVE
It will now make an xISO about 3 > 4 Mb in size

Now burn this image to a CDRW

How to burn using NERO

Insert a blank CD-RW or DVD
Open up Nero
Click File > Burn Image
Direct it to your newly made ISO
Click Finalize CD
Write Speed 2X
Write Method Disc-At-Once
Click Write
It will now burn your image to disk

Now put your original X Box DVD rom drive back and try to boot your disk

Ok, the only CD-RW I have is an old Verbatim 2X/4X
Think it'll work?
I'm gonna have a hell of a time formatting it, since its in some weird filesystem that XP dosnt understand.

Ok, maybe you can help me.
This cd-rw I got was burned in Win98, using my same recorder, but in WinXP, it shows a text file that say.

"This disc contains a "UDF" file system and requires an operating system
that supports the ISO-13346 "UDF" file system specification."

Any ideas on what I need for WinXP to see the data so I can format this sucker?

Edit
Ok, Nero seems to be erasing this bastard. Says it'll take about 2 fuckin hours =(
It's a 2X. Damn slow.
Hopfully this will work.
Again though, anyone have luck with Verbatim brand in a Thomson?

You know, could it possibly also be another problem?
As I sit here waiting for almost 2 horus for this disc to format, I get thinking.

When it boots with my PCDVD drive in, it blinks red/green everytime, then the service screen comes up.

Is this what always happens when it cant read the Evox disc you put it? Or is it supposed to go to the normal M$ Dashboard?

But it's all good now, I got it all up and running.
EvoX is on it and all is good.

Thanks for all the help though.
