Are you loading EvoX from the CD or the hard drive?

if i click save and exit the options dont change, if i change the skin next time i load its back to the last one and if i try to edit evox.ini using xpad-alpha i save it but nothings changed.

thats why i think it write protected.

Hmm....if nothing is saved, then, well, its not being ran from the HD. EvolutionX is not write-protected anyways

Hmm...are you removing the CD from which you copied Evox?  If for some strange reason you can't make this work, you should invest in a network card or maybe try some of the file managers on xbins FTP.

yeah the cd is not in there, trust me.
it is running from the hard-drive im using 2 other file managers (xcommander, boxplorer) everything is running fine,

except the options will not save after ive clicked save and exit.

ive tryied editing the evox.ini using xpad, saving, then when i re-open it its still the same.

can xbox files be write protected? or is it just some bug or something?

Why not make a new evox.ini file on your computer, burn and overwrite the old one?

You need GreenGiant's Attribute Fixer (attrib.xbe).  Look at the old EvolutionX Install CDs and you should find it.
