Serious Network Trouble.
« on: February 07, 2003, 01:10:00 AM »

I have some wack oldschool p2 3 com network card that causes my computer to restart. Now I got a new cicero ADMtek AN983 based ethernet adapter and its working fine but for some reason now it wont let it connect properly. It says in flash fxp:

Connecting to Xbox
Connected to 192.168.0.2 Port 21
220 Please enter your login name now.
USER xbox
331 Password required for xbox.
PASS (hidden)

SYST

This site may not allow file resuming
PWD

200 Type set to ASCII.
PORT 192,168,0,4,4,0
425 Can't open data connection to 192.168.0.4:4
Connection lost: Xbox

I tried it on the other network cards and it did not work either. I got an onboard network card as well in my computer now so I have a total of 3. But I can no longer get it working someone please let me know what the f.u.c.k. is going on.

Sounds like you may have a few problems.  I'm going to need a little more information.

What windows version are you running?

You also mentioned your motherboard has a built in NIC.  What motherboard is in this PC?

Does the onboard NIC function correctly?

Any more information would be of help.

Could this be your clue to why?

ok listen I have figured out tha it is not allowing me to connect for some reason my computer wont let the ports open up, because I can still stream files from relax, and the 2 NIC(network cards) I got inside right now are SiS 900 PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter(onboard ECS K7S5A motherboard) and ADMtek AN983 based ethernet adapter being the second stand alone PCI adapter. Right now since I put this new network card in I can't connect to any normal ftp's either. I know they are both in good working order, completely fine just configuration or something an issue here.

try ftping from the command line instead of from a gui app and see if it is something configured wrong in flashfxp or in your computer?

..."check the option in the site manager "Site uses NAT/IPMASQ/Non-routable IP""

?? worth a shot no?

Listen no mode changes in the ftp client can fix this problem, its a serious network error. I also noticed that when I tried to connect through flash fxp it didn't use the right ip to connect instead it used 192.168.1.2 which is my onboard NIC not the one for the xbox.

I fixed that other network error which was my setting in the flash fxp for bind to ip, however I still cannot get onto the ftp from my computer.

Yo dumb fuck incase you havent noticed I have done it before its just not currently working and dont think cuz you put up some cheesy ass website that you know everything.

Besides the fact you dont know how to explain anything properly and you lack proper english skills.

Also if you do a little more reading and a lot less talking you would realize that my network is already set up.
