Did your boot CDRW work? I can't tell, but it seems as though you haven't yet formated your new HD and may just have a media issue. If you have already formatted your drive (according to the tutorial) and then copied back your C: and E: drive, then it could be a HD issue.

Here's the way things should work. You create a boot CDRW with evox as default.xbe, the evox.ini  with the right IP addresses and the back-up folder.  The evox ini should be edited to just have the format choice - or to include the format cmds. Put the new hard drive in and the boot cd in. A xbox with an active mod chip will always look for a boot CD first before trying the hard drive boot. So, if the xbox likes your cd, it shouldn't matter if it likes your hard drive. It took several reboots before it actually decided to run my disk.

** EDIT ** - I'm not familiar with evox 2.3. I'm comfortable with D6.

You may be having problems because your HD Jumper is set to master (it says to do this in the tutorial i think)... I had to set mine to Cable Select to get it to work.

Goto the setting and info section in Evox to find out how much space the xbox is reporting for your hard drive.

You have to edit the Evox ini to point to the location you copied the game too.
You should really Go back and read the tutorials on this.
You could also use boxPlorer to find and launch the game ever time but thats a pain
and a waste of time
Here is an example of how it should be edited:

   Section  "Launch Menu"
   {
      Section "Games"
      {
         Item "Halo","f:\halo\default.xbe
         Line "- Auto Items -",2
         SortStart
         AutoAddItem "f:\games\"
         SortEnd
#         SortAll
      }
      Section "Emulation"

Explaination:
Item "Halo","f:\halo\default.xbe" <----- add games here using additional Item lines that are in their own folder.
You must edit the ini and add a new Item line every time you add a game.

AutoAddItem "f:\games\"  <--- add games in their own folder inside a dir called Games on the F partition
and EvoX will add them automatically to the menu for you.

In Game Reset
IGR = Both Triggers + Start + Back

Saving games work inside each game... a Little confused by the question.
If you want to get to the original dash to manage your game saves you'll have to edit
the evox.ini again so that it points back to the original msdash.

For instance:
[Misc]

AutoLaunchGames   = No
AutoLaunchDVD   = Yes
DVDPlayer   = "f:\applications\dvdx\default.xbe"
#DVDPlayer   = "c:\xboxdash.xbe"  <---- "#" infront of a line disables it/ the xbox ignors the line.
AutoLaunchAudio   = Yes
#AudioPlayer   = "c:\xboxdash.xbe"
MSDashBoard   = "c:\xboxdash.xbe"  <---- points back to the Original Xboxdash: whatever you named it.
UseFDrive   = Yes
SkinName   = Original
IGR      = No

[Network]

.....

And further down edit another Item line just like you do for game here
Section "Root"
{
       Item "MS Dashboard","c:\xboxdash.xbe"  <----Once again Original Dashboard

So, you got it working - great! The drive space either shows on the initial evox screen or you can look by using your boXplorer program. Looks like you should be set on the menu.ini and getting programs/games to execute.
