Adding 120gb Hdd To Xbox

Don't use Slayer's EvoX Installer. If you check out the tutorials at XS, you can build an ISO, burn it to a CD of course, and the CD will boot and it will prep the 120 GIG for use. That is how I did my 120 GIG

Yep, seen this problem before with slaYer's install disk.
ThatÂ’s why you should not depend on someone else's work
Especially when shit goes wrong.
Edjamakate yourself and be better for it.

You could try what Shanafan suggests which is probably the easiest way to get it fixed (imho)
or you could try and reformat the F partition with FlashFXP.
I think you should always make your own EvoxHD prep disk. NewHDEvoX1.2.rar
Its just too easy. I did the same thing Shanafan did with a WD120 gig hard drive...

Check out slaYer's thread or Search the forums.
Someone may have found an easier solution...

The xbox can read up to appox. 137gigs max.
The jumper should be set to Cable Select just like original that came from the factory.
If that does not work try Master.

Add a "dummy" file to the Evox CD.
Any large file(s) stuck in a newfolder will do
If your xbox dvd IS recognizing larger images this should help.

"Down" on the collection?
That's not it.
There are alot of folks using this disk without having the slightest clue
on how it works or what it is doing.
If you take the time to learn how this stuff really works then you can do it yourself
and get it right the first time and fix your own problems.

You can get the ENTIRE "collection" on-line in EASY to find locations
if you pay attention to the hints dropped by others all over the forum.

It's definitely the jumpers.  I had the same problem with my Samsung 120 GB drive.  Make sure they're set for greater than 32 GB and they're set to master.

No, from what I understand all six partitions are preset and inflexible at this time.
Why you would want to change them?
They are needed the way they are to run xbox games.
The last partiton (6) is where you get all your space thanx to the evox bios hack.

Why you would set or keep the 32GB limit jumper is a mystery.

Good News!
You would need a locked hard drive
To get on Xbox Live with your Mod Disabled.
If you try and boot to the original Bios, power on eject trick,
the xbox will fail to boot because the original bios requires a locked harddrive to boot.

If you never intend to go on Live or boot using the original bios then its not required.
