Ripping/uploading Ftp Speeds?

I get around 10 mbs xbox to pc, and around 2.5-4 mbs pc to xbox,

using GVC-Realtek Ethernet 10/100 PCI adaptor
and homemake cat5 crossover cable

i switched my ethernet card settings to 10 t-base full duplex only and my speeds tripled...
