I will try the new dash soon, am also thinking of installing the new bios - but got to open the xbox to switch the matrix chip onto mode 4 or whichever one it is [orange].

That IGR trick is a very welcomed feature - I was going to try out the XEcuter bios that has this, the 4973 final I think its called. Anyway will try Evo X's version [ yeh I know its built into the dash and not the bios].

Upload speeds now at 8MB/s! They were peaking at 1MB/s before and now I get sustained transfer at 8MB (64+Mb/s) for large file transfers. Excellent work EvoX.

Because it's not a BIOS-based trick, but some kind of hack when launching new images.

That's why I'd like for them to reveal how they are doing it, so I can add it to MXM (which is open source, so EVERYBODY can benefit from whatever tricks I come up with).

In the interest of the Xbox community, I appeal to the Evo-X team to give a little bit to the other developers out there.

To get IGR on burnt multi-game discs just use the new dashboard as the menu system..

We awoke to find what we were hoping wouldn't happen. EvoX released the bios to support both console versions. Now many may think this is great, but we are very sad about this, and we're sure the Xbox Linux team are also. When we first cracked the v1.1, Xbox Linux and ourselves knew about the secret backdoor (actually a bug) in the Xbox that enabled us to crack it so fast. Of course the only way to conceal this was to release 2 x different BIOS's, but now the secret is out and the consequences won't be clear until a new version is released. We thought we'd tell you as you'd probably want to know why we wouldn't be cracking the next version in 2 days instead of 2 months.

What's wrong with a BIOS that supports both versions of the xbox?  I think its rather nice and confuses mix ups.

And also this quote:

Aside from this nice to see you improved the sloppy upload speed and fixed the skin bug (oh and thanks for the credit on the IGR function hmmmm)

To my knowledge Team Xecuter never released an IGR dash... nor did Evo X steal their code.

I dunno about the whole IGR, before when i was just running 1.8.2812 and X2bios when i did the triggers+black+back combo it would go back to the EvoX menu, and after installing the new EvoX combo when i do the IGR it completely reboots my box.  Is this happening to anyone else or is this an option im missing in the new version, because i liked it alot more going back to the dash and not rebooting. All in all i went back.........

Same here, so I will keep on running the 4793 bios (with the better IGR according to me) but with the new updated 3285 dash until something new arrives!

it works fine for me, are you sure you are holding both triggers and both the the start button, and the button next to the start button that says back??  i hope you're not holding back on the directional pad.   beerchug.gif

jester.gif  Well, you better believe that is how stupid i am... Thanks for the tip mate. No wonder the box didnt reboot when i was hold holding back on the pad. Anyhow, thanks for enlightening me. It now works like a charm. Atleast im not the only one here that didnt figure it out (havent even noticed that button was called back, assumed it was called select)

IGR was the idea of team X-ecuter so they feel being copied.

I just soooo disagree, so team X-ecuter feel copied too because there are other modchips that do the same thing as theirs ? Where they actually the first ones to make a public mod chip ?

I mean come on, if there is such a thing then aren't they going to copy evolution-x's idea of making a dashboard? (neXgen)

They are just being lame with competition.

was it really necessary to make a dual bios though?  I mean if you're smart enough to mod your box, I'm sure you can figure out 1.1 and 1.0.

Makes things a little less confusing though...

Trust me intelligence has nothing to do with trying to mod an xbox...
