I had evox running and i wanted to try and upgrade the menu so i thought i had to take it out (xboxdash.xbe) so i deleted it from C and got it off my CD again (cause i had it working), so i just wanted to make it like it was cause i thought i was doing something stupid(and i was). So i turn it off and start it up again after copying it over again, and it just sits there at my blue xbox logon screen. 5 minutes ago i was playing a backup but now i can only play "Legit" copies so is there a way to get back in to change the file, because it will now not detect my disc??? any ideas?

Logon screen ?

Do you mean Logo screen.  How long have you let it sit.  You should recieve a error code.
Have you tried to boot from a EVOX boot CD?

yah the logon screen that firsts comes up. I have a matrix so it starts out with a blue xbox logo and it just sits there and sits there. If i put in a "backed up cd" it cannot read it but a legit cd it can i dont know what is up any ideas?

I think i misnamed the file. I think i called it xboxdash.xbe instead of msdash.xbe? is that right?

is it teh xecuter 2 bios or the evo x bios.

Either way here is ur solutions :

Xecuter 2 bios :

Make a evo x dash cd and boot it and change the name of the dash u want to load to either evoxdash.xbe and change the orignal dash to xboxdash.xbe.  The you should be able to boot fine.

Evo X bios:

I can't give u an answer here except use the cd boot method and then depending on the bios u have u name it the dash the name it seeks.  I used to have the ybox bios and i needed my dash to be named that so it could boot so I dunno wat bios u have so i can't answer with this scenario.

im using Evox but i think im just gonna take it out of my Xbox case now and Unlock it and put it in my PC, ill message back.

I looked a bit more into it and i still have to get access to the HD for it to let me unlock it, so i need to be able to just deleate that one file and replace it with the original thx

It sounds like your chip is misaligned.  Look through the side vent and make sure that it's still flashing green.  I'd even recommend reflashing it just in case..

Once you get that to work, boot from cdrw, ftp in and put the file back.

:huh: Ive Reflashed it once with the same BIOS i had on it before (evo 2.5) is there any other BIOS you would recomend?

Man You are RIGHT!!! I thought well this sounds logical; so, I turned on my XBox it boot evox and immedetly crashed when i plugged in my controller, DAMN    So Ive been sitting here for like 2 hours trying to get it in the "G spot" and its not working. Can I add some sauder to those points to make them easier to connect to they seem to have divits or grooves now
