Help! Evox Newbie
« on: November 29, 2002, 03:28:00 PM »

I have my XBOX modded with a 1st generation xectuter. The chip has been good to me as far as DVD-R burning goes, except for the oocasional patching problem I like it.

I now have in my posession the 1.8.2812 EVOX ISO file and have burned it to 3 difference CDRWs with no luch. I am using Nero (1X, TAO).

My question is two fold, what am I doing wrong? I should be able to boot this ISO? Once I get it booting (if) can I copy let's say one of my 800MB games to an existing XBOX partition (not upgraded) and play the game from there? I want to fiddle around with this before I actually update my hard drive.

Thanks!!!

It should be able to boot, providing you are burning it right.
I tried using nero to burn EvoX, and couldn't get it to work.
Can you get a hold of RecordNow or Prassi PrimoDVD? EvoX worked for me using these programs.
Both are pretty much are the same program, and alot of members here use them as the standard, and some of the tutorials are based upon using these programs. You should be able to find them in the usual places. I think you might get a little more help regarding the proper settings to use if you can get a copy of one of these programs. Sorry if this doesn't really help you, I'm just showing you what worked for me.
