Need Help W/ Xbox 2 Xbox Ftp

You guys do know that you can click on the "Switch to FTP Browser" on the local files pane of FlashFXP and connect to a second FTP server, correct?

After you connect to both servers, you just transfer files over.  This is assuming that evolutionx supports the FXP commands.

Tsharkou,

what u need to do is get the latest version of xb-ftp.  with this version, u don't need to fiddle with the xbftp ini file anymore.  it has a nice interface where you can add a new server to connect to.  this new server of course is your 2nd xbox.  i've done this for 4 xboxes already.  i have my 120gb filled with games and transferred all of them to a 2nd xbox.  the only prob is that u can't play games for the next 14-15 hours hehe.

Has anyone had the same problem with xbftp. When I try to transfer files between two xboxes xbftp only transfers the subdirectories, no files. It sometimes transfers all the content but almost all the time I'm getting empty subdirectories.

Well, if you can just hold off a few more days till the NexGen Dash comes out.  It will support XBOX to XBOX FTP!!!  Last I read it was 75% complete.

are you trying to go from remote to local?

it only supports moving files from the local drive to the remote location.

Ok...you have xbox #1 and xbox #2...im assuming that you have the evox ini's set up on both of them to allow network blah blah blah
Ok this is what you need to do....
edit the evox.ini on the second xbox and change the ip to 192.168.0.4
so on xbox #1 you have ip 192.168.0.3 and on #2 you have ip 192.168.0.4

Grab your favorite crossover cable and connect the 2 directly to each other.

Turn on xbox number 2, turn on xbox number 1, they both should be running which means the av cables and stuff for both.

On xbox number 2 make sure under the evox settings it shows the ip and says connected and make sure it says the same for number 1, you may need to reboot 1 or 2 so it refreshes. On xbox number 1 make add an ip (192.168.0.4) leave the port at 21 and the l/p to xbox. Press the right trigger to go to the other local and press start and then select the ip which you added 192.168.0.4, it should connect.
best of luck

smile.gif, Well currently I came up with a way to do a Xbox to Xbox indirectly.  This is is what  I did.  1st  Get 2 Xboxes Duh uhh.gif  2nd . Make sure both of them a different  ip number and the same subnet & gateway number. 3rd Get a hub. 4th Get a PC. 5th Now run all of them to the hub(PC included) .*NOTE; make sure your PC has a different ip also.  6th Get Flash FXP & WebDrive.
Now once the software is installed and configured properly, run WebDrive 1st, then Connect to the 1st XBOX using it. Then run FlashFXP & connect to the second drive. OK, webdrive's going to map the 1st xbx as a drive letter so in flash fxp u're going to treat it as a local drive , so bring it up in the Left window. The other (2nd xbx) should already be in the right window.  Now u can copy from 1st xbx to 2nd xbx or vice versa . Pretty kool huh  cool.gif . In fact that's what i'm doing right now. It's a little slow but it works great.  Give it a try.

u can learn something from everybody smile.gif
