Did you try loading the EvoX from a CDRW and then replacing the damaged files via FTP? or change the attributes that is.

it might be a bad bios or a restricted bios (if such a thing!!) get him to take it back to the flasher and flash it again witha recognised bios (evoX or something). its the only thing i can sugest at the mo. good luck.

ok heres what you do. boot evox off a cdrw with correct network settings. connect ftp. you dont have to overwrite the files(these are read only right?). simply rename the msdash-whatever to anything you want and then ftp over the original M$dash file. you just renamed the file so it wasnt necessary to overwrite it, you just replaced it with the good version.

thanx for all the replay ill be trying a few of them ...

btw i think my bro flashed the bios through evox ...and thats what fucked it.. it wasnt an upgradable flash it ahd already been flashed ... but he said it booted both dvd-r games and legit games after ...its only after trying to copy a new dash over and writing the dash file to a 0 byte or incomplete file that the xbox became unbootable....

sigh :/
