No..... sounds like you have to edit the evox.ini file

Hi,
I had the same problem as u guys after installing the evox.1.8.2812. I was up all night trying to figure out a solution cos no one could help or offer any suggestion. Luckily for me, someone helped this morning.

Solution:
place a game dvd into the drive; e.g Halo. It would boot up and load the game. After loading, eject the game disc and the evox.1.8.2812 dashboard would take over. Now u can use the ftp and correct the mistake.

Help:
I would appreciate it if someone can explain y this is happening?

ok, so i start by the beginning, we've chipped xbox with enighmah, then we booted xbox with evox cd. then we ftp'ed evox 1.8.2812 to the xbox, then we booted xbox , but then xbox won't boot from hd , neither from evox cd again:s.  We've just tested the eject trick but that also doesn't work. tomorrow we wil buy an original game like you did and we hope, that then xbox boots. in someone has more tips or info, let us know.

grtz

I ftp to my xbox and transferd the files over, edited the .ini file with my settings, disconnected and rebooted. It worked for me without any problems at all.  :)

And btw. i'm using the x-ecuter chip.

:o looks like the problem was caused by the misalignment of the matrix modchip. I arrived at this conclusion based on:
1). the procedure I stated earlier didnot boot to evox in the evening
2). I was able to boot this morning with absolutely zero effort.

I guess the temperature is affecting the modchip becos it was not aligned properly.
