Custom Evox Bios?
« on: October 28, 2002, 08:40:00 PM »

So, I've seen and am using a custom EvoX bios. (Colormod orange, ybox, err) Is there any way to customize this. I've read the bios tables and have seen the options, but can't find the right combo of the options I want in a bios available.

Thanks in advance,

What options do you want available?

EvoX 2.5:
Colormod - Blue(if it's available and stable), red if not
err
noani
evox2 - or evox/ybox

Opjose:
is there a way to edit the bin file to achieve this? I know it'll probably be complicated, but if it's possible, could you point me in the direction I need to go.

Thanks,

All you need is SuperFro's FanCbox Utility and the RC4 key (posted already) and you can "roll your own" without ANY difficulty.

Opjose: I really appreciate that. You could have told me to dig. But, you didn't and just wanted to say thanks for that.

I can't find the RC4 key for the life of me, and I have searched the forums, and googled for over an hour. Can I get some more specific hints?

Gracias!

Nobody here can tell you where to find it.

I will say that whenever I saw it on usenet (hint hint) I saw the v1 RC4 mislabelled as something like "EEPROM"

That would explain why it is so hard to find.
