Daedalus: Nice one wink.gif

The latest release EvoX upped my xfer to ~400kb/s from 200kb/s to F:. Still a far cry from the 4Mb/s I get to E: though.

Original Seagate.

I have a general solution.

I had major slow uploads and downloads with FTP using Flash FXP

I used latest evox 1.4.3285, upgraded HDD to 80gig IBM, had 100/full dup etc etc.

I got on average 720kb for PC to XBOX and if I did the right mouse button trick it would reach maybe 3meg per sec if lucky.

So with the above taken into mind and not changing anything but the FTP program, I now get max 13meg per sec. for large files obviously, and the small ones ( i.e. .wavs) well need I say no more.

Program I use is webdrive. You use it by mapping a drive in explorer, and then hey presto, there is nothing better, I have tried the lot, and nothing comes close.

I have only ever used the latest version of EvolutionX, BUT I had the exact same problem with my original HD. I installed a 20g Maxtor I had sitting around and used the exact same dash, I now get the full 5Mb/s throughput. I think it really must have something to do with the way the F: is formated on the original HD.

Quit double posting.

Already answered.

Also if your using the OEM drive with a non-HD swap Mod chip you'll have problems.

The answer would be easy to find if people didn't double post!

Then the search here sucks because I just searched for Rerunn's original post since you guys won't post the answer and this is the only post the search returns.   Why not help out and post the answer or a link to the answer?

I also have this problem of slow transfers to f:drive 200Kbps but if I transfer to E:drive 2500kbps.

Could the problem be not preparing my HD the long way formating and zeroing, I just used evox cdrw to install my HD?

I'm glad I'm not the onlyone with this problem uhh.gif
