QUOTE (Sykotek @ Nov 6 2002, 07:53 PM)
HA!  I mean No Man It's not worth it!!

I usually see 2.4kb/s, but one time (not in band camp) I did see 11kb/sec when transferring Blitz 2003.  Next game it was back down to 10 mbit speeds.  All 10/100 hardware.  Who knows, I just set it to transfer and let it go.

Now I want a smoothie.

Smoothie King best be sending me my advertising check. I think I made 3 people go buy smoothies today. Damn, Doritos sounds good right now. Too bad I can't use FlashFXP to download me some Cool Ranch, even if it is only at 300KB/s

OK here's a new variable to throw into the mix.  I recently updated my hdd to a 60 gig ultra 100 5400 rpm western digital with ultra 100 cable.  Doing the same process of streaming games to the hdd my speed that was 3 MBytes a second is now 300 KBytes a second!!!.  Im using flash fxp.

Now I am back to getting 3MBps i don't know how or why but i disconnected the xbox and hooked it up with direct crossover cable and it was still the shitty 300k a second.  i hooked everything backup through my switch etc... and it went 3 mB a second transferring the same files.

im perplexed and frustrated to say the least lol

I have noticed a speed decrease in using older builds of flashfxp. It is noticeable in v2 build 900 and 902 that I used. 900 was the worst, was getting about 1mb from pc to xbox. build 902 was getting about 2mbs per sec. I have now moved onto the new build 904 and the speed is approx 2.5MBs from pc to xbox, and about 8.5-9MBs from xbox to pc.

On a test 280meg file I just achieved 1.8Megabytes/s sending to the xbox and 6Megabytes/s pulling the file back off using flashfxp.  This is on a box with a 60gig wd drive and pc with half duplex 100meg card running thru a 100meg switch connected to another 100meg switch.
