Why use WS_FTP or any software. Just install boXplorer and transfer from the dvd xbox drive to the hard disk. Unless you get ISO's. As for me I don't know where should i dowload the iso's from.  everywhere I ask I am flamed. oh well I guess I have a long way to learn.

Check out my setup.

I'm using a 10/100 mbit Linksys network card, a crossover cable to my xbox. I have the newest version of Evox Dash installed, and I'm using Flash Fxp to conntect to my xbox.

I speeds are roughly 300 to 800 k/s

Takes me like 45 minutes to an hour to transfer a gig game.

What the hell am I doing wrong?

Where do you change the Transmition Buffer?

Is it something u do in Windows, or Ws_FTP?

I dont have Options/Advanced in Ws... I see nothing about buffers anywhere.

What version are you using? I have using 6.06 and from the main page I click Options then click the Advanced tab. The section is titled Network Buffer size (bytes). There are two boxes, one for Receive size and teh other for transmission size. Also I have not done any testing between 512 and 4096 so I am not sure how much of a difference it makes. I hope this helps.

Ipswitch.WS_FTP.Pro.v7.61.retail-FOSI which was released a couple weeks ago.

I dont see anything like that.

HRm... My speed with FlashFXP is such shit. 300 k/s or so.

Is there any other way to change the buffer? Maybe the buffer in windows? I dont know much about networking, sorry.

Now, if only I could run games off my network

I was getting between 3 and 4 megabytes/sec when I had it hooked up through a switch and cable modem (it was going throught the "cloud".....Now I use flash FXP with a crossover cable.....Full Duplex of course....I'm running Windows 2000 pro.....mine stays between 8 and 9 megabytes/second.  (that's freak'n fast!)

I have tried many configurations, and have decided I don't give a shit if my transfer rate is only 400KBps. I am gonna go have a smoothie, look in the mirror, and try to kill myself.
