Hd Replacment Failure :-(

This error is definitly a bad connection, probably the wire.
Test with a meter, that all your solder points are good (from the back of the mainboard, to the chip)  and try using the alternate solderpoint for the wire ( it,s much easier to solder)

Alternate Solder point:

http://www.piratesrus.org/X-ecuter/

Troubleshooting solder points:

http://www.mrmodchip.../testpoints.htm

DO NOT do either of these!

Your Xbox is working FINE, you merely have a cold solder joint (which the Brits call a "dry" solder joint).

The above two proceedures will probably result in you obtaining a non working Xbox since you do not seem to know what you are doing.

Why are you so insistant on taking the harder path?

What we are telling you to do is easy and painless!

Just TOUCH the solder points for 2-3 seconds until you see the solder melt.

It will get much more shiny, when it does so. Hold for an additional second or two and remove the iron.

Simple, nothing to it.

AVOID the one wire to the motherboard. If you pull this you will be SOL!

Fixing it is VERY difficult.

Finally!

Yes your Xbox was properly modded and had no other trouble than a bad joint. Messing around with anything else was more risky than just touching up the joints.

I'm glad it worked out.

I've read that the red/green has something to do with the bios, hence your mod. Get yourself a continuity tester (should be on most multimeters) and some 30awg wire. Use the wire as the leads for the continuity check, and see if you can put on on your x-ecutor, and the other IN the hole to ensure a proper connection.
