The xbox can not play avi's without an application like xbplayer.
Buring avi's alone without using xbplayer or divxplayer is not possible at this time.

Yes the disk must be burned a "special" way.

Look between the 5th and 6th images in the tutorial. There are three sentences there, and your information is contained in the 2nd and 3rd sentence.

ok i might have been blind but the problem is still that i can´t read the disk with xboxplorer. It says it´s 0 Mb.

I made a .iso file in xiso that contained a .avi file but it is not recognised in the box.

xISO occasionally has problems with making/extracting iso's

Instead, try GDFimage.

on the other hand, if your following the tutorial as we've been suggesting, you wouldn't be using an .iso in the first place.
