I'm getting relatively the same transfer rate from Xbox->PC, I agree that when I upgraded my HDD I started getting better PC->Xbox rates.

Also, the FTP client makes marginal difference to the trans rate, they all just measure it differently, I highly suggest doing your own math on trans rates when comparing different FTP clients.  Take the total bytes you transfered and divided by the number of seconds.  Use that measurement to compare, not what the FTP clients report.

Thanks for the tips, but i got a few questions. I have 2 nics in my computer. One is running at 10mbit, another is running at 100mbit. THe 10mbit is directly connect to the internet, the other one was used to connect the xbox. Anyways, when i forced the nic running at 10mbit into 100mbit, I restarted the computer, but it would refused to be connected to the internet, until i turn it back to 10mbit. Am i doing sumthing wrong?

And How do i find out xbox's ip? I used the ip in evox's .ini file.

Just to be clear, when you say from Xbox to PC are your transfer rates from the Xbox Hard Drive to the PC Hard drive? Or are you talking about transfering the files on a DVD to the PC? Just curious because I'm only able to get around 1.6MB from DVD to PC transfers. My PC NIC and Xbox are both at 100 Full Duplex connected with a Linksys DSL Router/4 port 100mb switch.

Very true. But you can make most 100MB cards run at 10MB.
Most autosense the network and set themselves appropriately. Hook up a 100MB card to a cable modem it'll run in 10MB mode. Go into the card config settings override the autosense and change it to 100MB and it won't work anymore with a 10MB connection at the other end.

ive also had troublesome speeds sad.gif

ive used the correct settings on Xbox and Pc, static ip , yada yada, but for some reason i cannot get speeds greater than about 830k/sec!

ive tried two NICS, onbaord NIc too (which is what im using now) and speeds are either 250k or 800k roughly. This is from two different hard drives on the Pc, and all the time i'm using FLASHFXP, using crossover cable direct from XBOX to PC.

any tips, cus im puzzled?
